> 2.21 - Apps that are simply a song or movie should be submitted to the iTunes store. Apps that are simply a book should be submitted to the iBooks Store
I ask you to re-examin, because my app is not a simple or general e-book. I'm sure that this app is suitable as iOS app.
Indeed, the screen of the app looks like e-books, such as EPUB on iBooks. However, It offer some unique experience to users in really simple way.
My ideas are follows.
- The page turning different from the e-book ( horizontal and vertical ).
- Handling of text that overflows from the screen.
- Language switching of content ( follow the OS settings ).
Please flick up while when you are looking at any photograph page. Description page of the photograph will appear. In other words, there is a hierarchy between pages. It is content everyone should always see, or content that only people that it needs to see. Of course, it is up to individual reader. It can not be realized on EPUB.
For example, some readers will browse only photos in my app as photo album. But, another readers will be used as encyclopedia or photography guide book by vertical flick.
Moreover, the text-based page is variable size. Therefore font size is not too small even on small screen device. And readers can read by scrolling as Web browser. Readers not be bothered to page turning during the reading. And readers can return to primary photograph page just by down flick. In EPUB, sometimes, rediscovery of the original photograph page is troublesome.
In addition, the language of the content will switch depending on the language setting of the iOS. In English or Japanese. This is a feature that many iOS apps offer commonly. However, if I want to achieve it in EPUB, I must publish a book for each language.
Thank you.
