Gun

In the Philippines, I heard that even usual guards have guns. Really?

In Japan, only police officers and SDF personnel have guns during their duties.

Hunters are allowed to possess and use hunting guns. But obtaining a hunting license has a rigorous review that takes months. And hunters are required to keep strict storage and use conditions.

However, according to one theory, it is said that 50,000 handguns are already smuggled into Japan.

But it is rarely used, because everyone should not have a gun ostensibly. There are rare cases of gunfire incidents due to conflict between gangsters.

By the way, I heard that there is an illegal gun factory in the Philippines. A Japanese journalist Interviewed and reported so. f course not to mention places and stakeholders. In the story the journalist heard, some metal parts of the gun are made in Japan. What a shame.

Drug

The kind of drugs is very hard to obtain in Japan.

Of course if you find a seller somehow it will be possible to buy it. Because some people are trying to make money with anti-social outrageous behavior also in Japan.

The Japanese society is very cold to people who arrested for the use or possession of drugs. Even if it is the first time, social reversion becomes extremely difficult.

All-round organization

The SDF is a very excellent organization similar to the military. They do not actually fight, but they do not fail to train on a daily training.

And the SDF will do tremendous work as a rescue team in the event of a disaster such as an earthquake or typhoon. For example they repair broken roads and bridges that make people’s lifeline quickly recover like a construction company.

The SDF arrives with food. Therefore, they do not consume supplies for victims and do not procure supplies from local people.

Self Defense Force

The Japanese constitution states “There is no army, navy, air force, or other military power.” However, Japan has a militant organization called the Self Defense Force (SDF). From a foreign country, the SDF will look like a Japanese army. But their status is civil servants, not military personnel. Because it is not an army, the SDF does not have a military council system.

In recent years, the SDF go to conflict areas abroad and is responsible for backward support of allies. In that case, if they get caught up in a conflict and kill someone or be caught, there is a possibility that they will be tried as a criminal, not a soldier.

Therefore, some Japanese wish to revise the constitution and position the SDF as an official army, but there are a lot of people who do not want it. That conclusion has not come out.

Peaceful state

Japan is proud of a peaceful state. This is because Japan abandoned the invasion to other countries after the end of the Pacific War in 1945. And Japan is not actively involved in the wars of other countries. Fortunately, Japan did not become a battleground or attacked from other countries.

However, in recent years, the SDF(Self Defense Force) has gone to conflict areas of abroad and do backwards support of allies. And there is a sign that North Korea will attack Japan.

I would like to continue peace forever.

Mojacko

In the Philippines it seems that the “Moja” is famous.

Mohja is a manga and animation by Fujiko F Fujio, like “Doraemon” and “Ninja Hattori”. But in Japan it is not so famous compared to other works.

Dreamon

I’ve heard that this character is called ‘Dreamon’ in the Philippines.

Draemon、ドラえもん His formal name is “Doraemon”. The spelling is subtly different.

But I think Dreamon is a wonderful naming. Because it contains the word ‘Dream’.

One Punch

According to my Filipino friend, this character called ‘One Punch’ in the Philippines. Really?

The Japanese name for this character is ‘Anpanman’. People watching animation will know. His head is made of anpan. Anpan is a kind of traditional sweet bread in Japan, it is a high-calorie food filled with red bean paste in bread.

By the way, this character is the ‘One Punch’ in Japan.

He is an invincible super hero who knocks down any enemies by his one punch.

Ginkgo nut

Ginkgo tree bear nuts called “Ginnan (ぎんなん)”.

Ripening ginnan emits intense smell. But we can eat it deliciously after remove the pulp.

Ginkgo nut、ぎんなん — The diameter of the ginnan is about 1cm

Ginnan’s typical dish is “Chawan mushi”. It steamed a pudding-style egg containing a ginnan. Besides, we bake and eat the ginnan stuck in the skewer.

By the way, Ginnan resembles a pistachio, but they are trees of another species.

Ginkgo

In November, Tokyo is completely autumn.

One of the Japanese autumn traditions is the leaves of Ginkgo leaves. It is green in the summer. But it turns into a vibrant yellow in autumn.

There are many ginkgo tree lined by side of the road in Japan, it’s symbolizes autumn.
